The past couple weeks actually felt like winter loosened its grip a bit. Even the Spring Flower Show at Como gave people a reason to get out and pretend it’s not still March.

On top of that, events like Uncorked Minnesota packed the Science Museum, and the New Edition show at Target Center pulled a solid crowd for a full throwback night. There’s been a noticeable shift, people are getting out again, events are filling up, and it finally feels like we’re turning the corner into spring activity mode.

We might be staring down a winter storm warning, but it’s spring in Minnesota, so it’ll warm back up soon. In the meantime, there’s still plenty going on over the next couple weeks.

2026 parade of homes

The Spring Parade of Homes is running now through April 12, Friday through Sunday, noon to 6 p.m. It is a free self-guided tour of hundreds of new construction homes across the Twin Cities metro, and whether you are actively shopping or just love walking through beautiful new builds for inspiration, it is worth an afternoon. The Remodelers Showcase runs the final weekend, April 10-12.

Head to paradeofhomes.org to browse homes and plan your route.

This is kind of the stretch where everything starts picking up again, events, people getting out, and the housing market right along with it. If you’ve been thinking about making a move, this is when things start moving fast, and getting a feel for different neighborhoods, homes, and what’s out there becomes a lot more useful than just scrolling online. Whether you’re out for an event or just exploring, it’s a good time to pay attention to what feels right, because the next couple months tend to go quick.
